1. OPAC Search
Learn how to access the library’s collections of books, journals, newspapers, maps, video recordings, music, and other material. The lecture is held once every month and is two hours long. Familiarity with computers is a prerequisite for joining.
2. Introduction to Reference Materials
This class offers an overview of the types of references and how to retrieve information using the BA reference collection. The lecture is held once every month and is two hours long. Familiarity with computers is a prerequisite for joining, while familiarity with OPAC search methods is preferred.
3. Introduction to Internet Search Tools
In this lecture, participants will be introduced to different internet search tools and will be taught how to evaluate search results. The lecture is held once every month and is two hours long. Familiarity with computers is a prerequisite for joining.
4. Introduction to Database Searching
In this lecture, participants will learn the basic skills needed to search through the different databases and e-resources available at the library. The lecture is held once every month and is two hours long. Familiarity with computers is a prerequisite for joining, while familiarity with OPAC search methods or previous internet courses is preferred.
5. Citation Session
In this lecture, participants will learn how to cite Arabic and English books (print and electronic) and audiovisual materials. The lecture is held once every month and is two hours long. There are no prerequisites for joining this session.
6. Collection's Orientation
In this session, participants will learn more about the BA collection: How it is arranged and how to locate different print and electronic materials. The lecture is held once every month and is two hours long. There are no prerequisites for joining this session.
