Cataloging and Indexing Periodicals Course

As part of the International Librarianship Training Program, the BA Educational Services Section is organizing a course titled “Cataloging and Indexing Periodicals”. The course will begin on Sunday, 24 May 2015 and continue until Thursday, 28 May 2015 from 9:30 am–3:30 pm at the BACC Fourth Floor Floating Room.
The course covers the technical preparation of these types of resources using machine readable cataloging through the rules of MARC 21. The course also covers different types of periodicals, how to differentiate between them and other sources of information, and how to create bibliographic records and collection records.
The lectures will be delivered by BA technical management specialists. To register for the course, please visit the International Librarianship Training Program’s website before Thursday, 21 May 2015. Registration is on a first come, first served basis
