"Awards and Creatives" on the Sidelines of the BA Book Fair

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina organized yesterday a seminar entitled "Awards and Creatives", in the presence of Dr. Ali El-Din Helal, Professor of Political Science and journalist Salah Salem. The event was moderated by Dr. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, on the sidelines of the eighteenth round of the BA International Book Fair.
Dr. Ahmed Zayed stated that societies can only progress with diversity in all fields such as arts, sciences, literature, and was pleased to honor a number of professors, creatives and thinkers, including Dr. Ashraf Zaki, musician Hani Shenouda, Dr. Dalila Elkerdany, Dr. Hassan Al-Saadi, Dr. Abdel Salam Eid and Professor Fathi Abdel Samie.
Dr. Ali El-Din Hilal talked about his upbringing and how the presence of his home next to the Museum of Islamic Art and Dar El-Kotob had influenced him. He also added that during his time at the Faculty of Economics, he was introduced to intellectual and political diversity and learned how to create a state of consensus and balance to expand his perceptions.
Mr. Salah Salem began his speech with the basic idea that shaped his life and affected him, which is "freedom", and explained how his father encouraged him to read. He also touched on Al-Ahram Foundation and mentioned Mr. Ibrahim Nafie who encouraged and supported him.
