Chairman of the Sharjah Archives in a Visit to the BA

Prof. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, received Sheikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Archives, and his accompanying delegation. The meeting was attended by Dr. Mohamed Soliman, Head of the Cultural Outreach Sector, and Ms. Heba El-Rafey, Acting Head of the External Relations and Media Sector.
The meeting witnessed a discussion of the means of strengthening cultural cooperation between the Library and the Sharjah Archives, as both parties exchanged visions and ideas on the cultural activities organized in Egypt and Sharjah. At the end of the meeting, the two parties exchanged gifts, after which Sheikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi and the accompanying delegation took a tour of the Library and visited the Manuscript Restoration Center, and learnt about the stages and techniques of document restoration and digitization.
