Hybrid Workshop: “Innovation and Technology: Towards Sustainable Development in the Arab Region”

The BA Center for Special Studies and Programs (CSSP), in cooperation with the World Academy of Sciences for the Advancement of Science in Developing Countries’ Arab Regional Partner (TWAS-AREP), is organizing a hybrid workshop entitled "Innovation and Technology: Towards Sustainable Development in the Arab Region", on 26 and 27 November 2024. The workshop is part of a training program for young Arab scientists, which aims to develop the skills of young researchers and provide them with knowledge that supports their scientific and research progress, thus enhancing their chances of achieving their career goals in the fields of natural and applied sciences.
The workshop will examine new dimensions of innovation and modern technology in the process of sustainable development in the Arab world, highlighting vital sectors such as the environment, agriculture, energy, health, and technology. It targets master's and doctoral students, as well as researchers with doctoral degrees in the fields of natural and applied sciences.
The workshop will host a group of experts, academics, and specialized professionals.
Speakers will highlight the leading modern technologies and innovative practices, in addition to the innovative technological models that support the process of sustainable development in the Arab region.
The workshop will feature 51 participants from different Arab countries, 28 of whom will participate online and 23 will attend in person (Egyptians and Arab refugees residing in Egypt).
