The BA Inaugurates the First International Conference on Interdisciplinary Sciences

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina opened the First International Conference on Interdisciplinary Sciences entitled “Towards a New Scientific Horizon: Dynamics of Interdisciplinary Convergence of Sciences in the Future.” The conference, which was organized by the BA Academic Research Sector on 8 and 9 April 2025, was inaugurated by Prof. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, and Prof. Essam Khamis, Head of the Interdisciplinary Studies Sector at the Supreme Council of Universities, on behalf of Prof. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
Prof. Zayed thanked Prof. Ashour for sponsoring and supporting the conference, and welcomed all the guests and speakers who are attending from Egypt and the Arab world. He said that the importance of this conference is based on a number of considerations, the most important of which is the acceleration in technological progress and the major revolution witnessed worldwide in science and research.
