The Chief of the Hellenic Navy General Staff in a Visit to the BA

Vice Adm. Dimitrios Kataras, Chief of the Hellenic Navy General Staff, accompanied by a high-level delegation, has recently been on a visit to the Bibliotheca Alexandrina.
The delegation was welcomed by Ms. Heba El Rafey, Acting Head of the External Relations and Media Sector, who took the guests on a tour of the Library and its various sections, and presented Vice Adm. Kataras with copies of the books The Photographic Memory of Alexandria and More than Just a Library.
The Chief of the Hellenic Navy General Staff praised the leading role played by the Library with regard to the dissemination of knowledge and cultural awareness, highlighting its international status in building bridges of communication between different cultures.
