The BA Francophone Network Unit is taking part in the organization of the ninth edition of the Francophone International Summer School for Information Sciences and Libraries, which will be held in Montreal and Quebec, from 19 to 25 May 2025, in conjunction with the General Assembly of the Digital Francophone Network (RFN) and the Conference of Ministers of Culture of the Member States and Governments of the Francophonie, under the auspices of the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF).

This is the third consecutive BA collaboration with the International Francophone Association of Librarians and Documentalists (AIFBD) on the activities of the International Francophone Summer School, which comprises a series of meetings, discussions, and lectures between professors, researchers, and those interested in library and information sciences and cultural heritage.

This year's edition of the Francophone International Summer School will address the accessibility problem of French-language content as well as the changes in the digital world that have led to a change in the ways in which general content, and Francophone content in particular, can be accessed. Artificial intelligence and algorithms that have revolutionized the ways of accessing information and content will also be highlighted.
