Dr. Ahmed Zayed in a Seminar at Gezira Club: “The BA Awards are Characterized by Absolute Transparency”

Prof. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, stated that the first edition of the BA Reading Competition, whose winners were announced a few days ago, is characterized by absolute transparency and neutrality. He also said that 400 contestants had reached the semi-final stage, which required each contestant to summarize the number of books he/she had read on one page for each book.
These statements were made during a seminar entitled "The Role of Cultural Institutions in Building the Human Being... The Bibliotheca Alexandrina as a Model", which took place at Gezira Club. It was moderated by Ola El Garhy and prepared by Dr. Sameh Fawzy, Senior Researcher at the BA.
The event was preceded by the opening of a fair of BA publications, which will run until the end of the month.
