The BA Center for Strategic Studies, in collaboration with Al-Hewar Center for Political and Media Studies in Cairo, organized a conference entitled "African-Latin American Cooperation: A Partnership for Building the Future" on 25-26 November 2025, at the Library's Center for Documentation of Cultural and Natural Heritage (CULTNAT) in the Smart Village. The opening session was moderated by Dr. Mahmoud Ezzat, Director of the BA Center for Strategic Studies.

Dr. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the BA, said that today's world is witnessing an unprecedented degree of complexity, crises, and intertwined interests, rendering the building of bridges of cooperation between Southern countries a strategic necessity to strengthen their presence in the changing global system.

In his speech delivered on his behalf by Major General Ahmed El-Sherbiny, Advisor to the BA Center for Strategic Studies, Dr. Zayed explained that the Library pays special attention to African and Latin American relations, which prompted it to organize this conference to highlight the outcomes of the three summits held between the two sides and call for their regularization. He also noted that the conference aims to propose visions and plans for future cooperation by expanding communication with think tanks, universities, and relevant institutions on both continents.
