A Memorandum of Understanding between the BA and the National Museum of World Writing Systems in South Korea

Dr. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, and the Acting Director of the National Museum of World Writing Systems in South Korea, have signed a memorandum of understanding between the Library and the Museum, with the aim of building scientific and cultural cooperation between the two parties and exchanging experiences on ways to display, disseminate, and preserve written cultural heritage.

Dr. Zayed said that this cooperation represents a strategic step towards strengthening international partnerships in the field of heritage preservation, knowledge exchange, and cultural ties, thereby enriching the dialogue between civilizations.

It is worth noting that under the memorandum of understanding, the two parties have agreed to cooperate in a number of cultural and scientific areas of mutual interest, including conducting joint research in the fields of the history and aesthetics of writing, written heritage, and the digital heritage of mutual writings. The memorandum also includes the exchange of fairs between the two institutions, the organization of conferences, seminars and specialized lectures, and the exchange of personnel, expertise, publications, and relevant academic journals.
