The BA Commemorates Yehya El-Rakhawy in a Seminar Combining Medicine and Literature

The BA Sinnari House in Cairo is hosting a cultural seminar entitled "Yehya El-Rakhawy: Between Medicine and Literature... Towards a More Comprehensive Understanding of Humanity," in collaboration with El-Rakhawy Institute for Training and Research, and in honor and appreciation of the career of Prof. Yehya El-Rakhawy, the Egyptian psychiatrist, thinker, and philosopher, who left an indelible mark on Egyptian and Arab culture. The seminar will be held on Thursday, 1 January 2026 at 4:00 pm.
The seminar will be inaugurated by Dr. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the BA, with the participation of a select group of speakers.
The seminar will address multiple topics covering El-Rakhawy's eventful career, with a special focus on his scientific approach to “evolutionary psychiatry” and his literary and critical contributions that embodied the fusion of science, philosophy, and creativity.
