The BA is organizing this lecture as a part of the 42nd anniversary of the October War.
The lecture will delve into the role of national unity in the great October war of 1973. Both factions of Egyptian society (Muslims and Copts) had significant roles to play during the war. Both Muslims and Copts took part in the war to liberate Egyptian land, while Al-Azhar, Islamic institutions, the Coptic Church, and Coptic institutions offered their support to the military effort and had notable national and international positions.
The lecture will be delivered by former Air Vice-Marshal Samir Aziz Mikhail as a part of the BA Center for Coptic Studies cultural program.
