“Egyptian-Hellenic Relations and the Role of the Media and NGOs”

Alexandria- Following the successful conference in Athens, Greece, titled “Cross-Cultural Relations and Media Institutions in Egypt”, the Alexandria and Mediterranean Research Center is organizing, on Wednesday June 21, the Round Table Discussion “Egyptian-Hellenic Relations and the Role of the Media and NGOs”, in cooperation with the Humanitarian and Euro cultural Development Association (HEDA) and the Hellenic Leadership Institute.

The two sessions of the Round Table, limited up to 15-20 participants, will address the role of the Media in Greek-Egyptian relations; media coverage today in both countries; and the role of the Non Government Organizations in further enhancing relations between the two nations.

Dr. Mohamed Awad, Director, the Alexandria and Mediterranean Research Center, Dr. Khaled Azab, Director, Media Department, and Anthony Livanios, President, the Hellenic Leadership Institute will participate in the discussion. The roundtable discussion will start at 10:00 hrs at the Center of Political Studies in the Middle East News Agency in Cairo (Babelouq).
